York Recreation Complex Reviews
The York Recreation complex is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. There is a playground with slides for young kids. A bike trail around a mile long around the outer edge of the park. The oak tree lined paths are a great place to walk. There are numerous baseball diamonds. A snack shop is also available for community events. The only thing missing is a basketball hoop.
It's hard to find park--tiny sign and in the middle of a neighborhood. Not much here but softball fields. Concession stand for snacks. Parking limited for big events. Bathrooms closed in the main area (where 4 softball fields are).
We take our new rescue here every chance we get. It is wonderful. Beautiful area, great trails for walking, jogging, running, and biking.... Thank you so much York Recreational Park for keeping it clean. I wish they could do free meals for the homeless and hungry every so often for folks. I like taking Luna here for the fresh air. Now other people obviously do not know how to carry poop bags or pick up their own dogs waste. My service dog carries hers in her harness. Btw I try to avoid people I have an immune deficiency and this is my service animal. If you see someone who has a service dog do not approach it without asking is it ok. She is not mean but she is trained to keep people at a distance from me. Ask people before approaching Thier animal. Also if your dog's aggressive you should not bring them to the park... aggressive to people or animals. Luna is a scared little sweetheart and has almost been attacked 3 times by other's dogs.
Great place to take the family. Enjoy trails, a playground, and baseball/softball fields.
Fun experience watching neighbors sons at the baseball fields. Brought folding chairs and was able to see both games!
