It seems no one wants to do their job anymore! And, employees at this particular Wal-Mart are rude!! Walmart in Quincy, Florida has gone downhill in the past year! Always have a problem with items ringing up the wrong price, and employee wants to argue that it's the price it rings up when there is clearly a sales price where the item is located. When we need an associate for any reason, go to the front of the store, and you can always see at least 3 of them just talking away, not worried about customers. If not, they're somewhere in the store on their phone. Yesterday, my daughter needed assistance, asked an associate who was on her phone and didn't even look up from her phone to answer her. At the self checkout, we got a couple of items from a clearance bin that rang up wrong, light was blinking for help, but associates paid no mind. I informed associate at service desk; her response was I needed to go to a regular register. What??!! I was almost finished ringing up my items! I already waited in line, and she wanted me to take all my items and go to a regular register and wait in line again!! They've always came to check and change the price before, now they don't?! What are the associates up in the front by the self checkout for, just to stand there and look pretty, on their phones, or talking? When I was told I had to go to another register, I said I didn't want the items then. Associate at service desk asked another associate to come cancel those items; that associate just walked on by near the service desk, not even bothering to come my way. Not to mention, there were a few cold items on that register, apparently left, and none of the associates up front bothered to get them. Wonder why things go bad?? Wonder why people take items without paying? Get the attitude I did yesterday when the item rang up wrong, associate overrides it remotely or from service desk and someone could just bag it up. I didn't, but the thing is, I could have. And, normally there is only one lane open with an associate checking customers put. It's a wonder people go to self checkout!! Yesterday, there were 3, guess because it's close to Thanksgiving. A couple of weeks ago, the service desk employee just walked away and said she was closed when I was next in line. I was told service desk closed at 8 pm, but it was only 7:30, and I was not told she was closing after the customer ahead of me. And, there were 2 people behind me!! Another associate had to come wait on me, as the other one just walked away. Then, when I went to check out at a regular register, light was on and no closed sign was up, had almost all my stuff on the register, and associate tells me, once she finished the other customer, she was closed!! What??!! You want me to take all my stuff off the register and go wait in line again at another register??!! 🙄 Good thing another associate told her to check me out then close. What is it with these associates??!! When I worked at Wal-Mart years ago, if I tried that, I would have been fired! This is ridiculous!!!! I may start going to Tallahassee to go to Wal-Mart when I come to Quincy, even though Quincy Wal-Mart is only 9 miles away. Something needs to be done at this Wal-Mart ASAP!!!
