Vertical Dreams – Nashua Reviews
My 10 year old son had a birthday party at Vertical Dreams Nashua this afternoon. It was fantastic, start to finish. The staff gracefully managed a rowdy bunch of very excited kids, and safety was clearly a priority. I wouldn't hesitate to go back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to the trampoline park. Five stars!
I feel bad about doing a negative review, especially when the front desk was nice. The bouldering section was just too small, and the floor isn't padded so you have to move around crash pads. When a lot of people try to boulder, it's easy to run out of crash pads even if there was room to climb, and I personally just don't feel as safe with crash pads compared to gyms with padded floors. Knowing that some of the floor wasn't padded did not help considering that the climbs didn't flow well in my opinion. Additionally, they had a much smaller assortment of campus boards/workout equipment, and didn't even have the bench cubbies to store your stuff. It also felt less clean than other gyms, though that may be down to the lighting and the old walls they use.nnIt is much much cheaper though ($15 compared to $27 elsewhere when you don't need gear) and again, the staff was pleasant.
There is much more vertical action then the Manchester location(the elevator shaft excluded) the peeps behind the counter were great and the locals were rad.
We had a great time here. Got a Groupon for two, and had a blast. Although it was a little busy, there were plenty of places to climb. We are beginners, so there were places we climbed easly and many that challenged us. There were even some that we didnt dare take on. The staff was great! I'd recommend giving this place a visit. Wear shorts, a water bottle, and bring a lock to lock you things up in a locker.
Great spot! Chris behind the counter was welcoming and knowledgeable. Seemed odd that he was the only staff person there, but he was certainly making the rounds. Climbs were tough but fun. There were more bouldering routes than I expected when I first walked in. Can't wait to come back!
