Trapped in the Upstate Escape Rooms Reviews
Our daughter attended a birthday party here and couldn’t stop talking about it. Her one birthday activity request for herself was to go back and do another escape room, so of course we had to oblige! For the rest of us it was a first time escape room experience. Angel, our game master, was awesome about giving us time to try to work it out ourselves but also helping us along with clues when we were truly stuck and needed a nudge in the right direction. We had two kids with us, ages 9 and 5, with 2 adults and it was equally as fun for the youngest kid as the adults. Definitely a great family activity in the right themed rooms. We did the Saving Santa game and it was beautifully done, great attention to detail, and just lots of fun. Excellent job Trapped in the Upstate!
This was my first escape room experience. My friends and I travelled 2 hours just to come to Mark and Bonnie's location. The place is nice with couches, waters, and a bathroom to utilize during your short wait time. I like the ambiance of the blue lighting in the hallways. Our game master was Devin and the game was kept fun and challenging even with clues. We successfully solved the Voodoo Shack just barely! I plan to visit again in the future. This was a very fun experience.
Great escape room. Rooms were fun, clean, seasonal (we did one Christmas-themed room), and challenging while still being intuitive. Maddy was our game master and she was awesome. She was responsive when hints were needed, but only provided just enough information to set us in the right direction without telling us the answer directly. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Greenville/upstate area and enjoy escape rooms.
Today my family and I completed our very first escape room and absolutely loved it! Mark was our host and was super friendly and informative. Our group ranged from 6-51 and each of us had a wonderful time! We will definitely be back!
The wife and myself (escape room owners) took our team up to play Asylum, Voodoo Shack, and Death Row. The cleanliness of the facility was impressive. From the lobby, bathrooms and including games. Both the Asylum and the Voodoo Shack were very challenging rooms, with the Voodoo Shack being the most difficult. The hints were given quickly, clearly, and helpful. Interesting twists and turns and a great use of space.nThe Death Row room is at their new location and was a well put together room and story. With the unexpected direction it takes early on, the room had many great puzzles and very smoothly added the tech. This room would be an excellent room for beginners and experienced gamers will appreciate the satisfying feeling of completing each task. If you are looking for a challenge or just a great night out, Trapped in the Upstate has got you covered.
