The playLOT

The playLot is the best thing to happen to Maine. This is a safe/fun place to bring your kids! There are tons of cubbies to put your belongings and space above the cubbies for car seats. Tons of picnic tables for snack time! They have snacks to purchase. Some families try to take over the benches with their belongings but they have tons of signs asking to put things in cubbies. The play area is very clean and when spills happen they are cleaned immediately. Toys are cleaned everyday. My husband had to climb on the big playhouse to get my scared child at the top and it was extremely sturdy. They have a baby area away from older kids to keep the littles safe. You obviously have to watch your own kids it’s not a babysitting place but you can stand outside the gate and see the kids the whole time! I highly recommend doing party’s here. They have a whole area for parties and tons of different themes. We love the playlot and will be coming back a lot! Also prices are fantastic and the owners are the nicest people I’ve ever met!

It’s fun for sure, but after today…probably never going back. We have come often, and my kids always are sick after. There needs to be a lower age limit. The older kids push and shove. There is zero organization to how many people are allowed in. And the owner this time was very rude while we were sitting having a snack at a picnic table. Felt like she was basically kicking us out, so we left. 30$ wasted. Also very expensive for what’s in there. The older kids were on the large jungle gym making it rock and become unsteady. If they are going to police the snack tables, they need to pay attention to what’s going on inside the play area.

It is wonderful! Thoughtfully designed, safe, clean, and welcoming. A perfect activity for any age. Our daughter is 16 months old and there were plenty of activities to keep her engaged and happy. We didn’t bring our younger daughter but there were swings and seats for her as well. We loved it!

So grateful to have this awesome spot nearby! Not only is it kid friendly but it is parent friendly too— they have seating everywhere unlike a lot of other places for kids so that the parents can I watch their child(ren) play. They have snacks and drinks available for purchase and yoga balls for anyone who needs that as a seat! This place was my saving grace as a pregnant parent of a toddler.

My 14 month old had a fantastic day at the Playlot! Highly recommend. There’s slides, swings, ride on toys, balls, a spot for 18 months and under, and a playhouse to name a few. Perfect indoor play to let your child burn some energy. And the staff is very friendly!
