St. Simons Island Lighthouse Museum

As an artist, my visit to the Saint Simons Island Lighthouse Museum was an absolute delight and a wellspring of inspiration. Such a beautiful lighthouse and museum! One of the last remaining Victorian style lighthouses in the Southeast. It’s a staple of the island. Awesome gift shop inside! Highly recommend checking it out.

Nice museum detailing the area's history, especially that of the Lighthouse. Learned how the locals made their living through various industries likecotton and lumber. Be sure to catch how beautiful the lighthouse looks at Sunset!

My family and I like to explore the different lighthouses and this one didn't disappoint!! 129 stairs to the top and you can see for miles. They have a quick movie at the beginning of the museum tour. The grounds are beautiful and it is right next to the community pool to cool off afterwards!

Beautiful location. Lighthouse and grounds are in absolutely stunning condition, very well kept. The climb is not overwhelming and the view from the top is awesome. Very peaceful area and the ocean is literally right beside the lighthouse.
