Splash Pad Reviews
We love this splash pad. This splash pad was done right. There is so much water, it literally feels like your swimming! 🤿💦😎🏊♀️
Sadly, we just discovered this place right before the end of the season (9/7) but it was really fun. Children under 2 and one parent are free. After that, $2 per person if you're not a resident of Fuquay-Varina. we came from Dunn and had an absolute blast. Even I enjoyed it. It was so fun. It's next door to a proper playground too. The only thing I didn't like was the ground up tires for the playroom floor. It just smells like burnt rubber from the sun.
Splash Pad is a great place to visit on a warm sunny day! There is plenty to do for all ages. Every little while all the water shuts off dor about a minute so attendqnts can do a quick scan to make sure all are safe and no one has been injured.nnResidents with a pass are free.nnThere is a $2 fee per person for non-residents for an all day admission. One parent will be admitted without charge per child.nnChildren under the age of 2 are free of charge.nnPlenty of parking, an additional playgroud, covered picnic benches for lunches and bathrooms.
Not impressed.nNo shaded area, no seating area, splash pad area is pretty small to average aaaand they charge money for it! Don’t bother spending time nor money driving here from another town))
I live in the area and have three young kids ages 5, 3, 1. This splash pad was perfect for my kiddos. It has a lot of calmer things that my youngest could enjoy and some higher thrill things for my older. I love that it is fenced in! This is so helpful when watching three young kids. As an adult you can stand out of the way and stay relatively dry or get wet if you would prefer. When we got there on a Monday during the summer there were maybe five kids playing in the splash pad. It got busier as the morning progressed but it was never crazy. Maybe the entrance fee keeps day camps at bay/ away. Free splash pads around this area are PACKED during the summer with camps which can be a nightmare for moms with young kids. The Fuquay Splash pad is bigger than the Jack Smith splash pad in apex.nnThings to note: You do have to pay entry if you are not a Fuquay Varina Resident. It is two dollars a kid. Children 2 and under are free and an accompanying adult is free. This meant it was $4 for all of us. There are no benches inside the splash pad. It is in the sun so bring sunscreen. The one thing that was hard for me was they would not let you bring anything in the splash pad arean(like a small purse). I didn't realize this so I had to leave my purse out in the open away from me...I'm not sure why this is a rule.nnPlayground next to the splash pad - the mulch they used is black rubber which is not my favorite especially in the summer. It gets everywhere, its hot, and your young kids might try to eat it.
