I had a pleasant time at the Sand bar this afternoon. Lots of amenities and there's plenty of shore area on this beautiful lake beach front for sunbathing but also an abundance of natural sedges that cover parts of the beach.
Great for some family fun. Water was extremely warm and very very clear and clean. Great spaces for picnic or playing with the kids. The water was shallow so safe for bathing with little ones. $4.00 for adults and $2.00 was extremely reasonable and there was plenty of parking. There’s enough space between families so you never feel crowded.
Great experience. Shallow so the kids can play without it being over their head. Paddle boards and kayaks to rent. Playground and bathrooms. We went twice in one week.
The boat launch side of the park has free parking. However the port-a-potty is hidden at the far end and in need of attention. The area to launch from is relatively clear of debris but pretty close to the edge you will encounter vegetation in the water.nAll that said it is a nice place to launch from to reach the Northern Mouth of the Lamoille River.
Wonderful and peaceful place with a great beach on the edge of Lake Champlain. Well kept State Park that will meet all your visiting needs and wants. Very calming and relaxing atmosphere.
