Poe Springs Park Reviews
Great spot to stop while kayaking the Santa Fe River. This park has a little bit of everything. Beautiful spring, great hiking, and lots of parking and picnic areas. There is a nice playground, enclosed Pavillion, and lots of room to roam. There is a small boat ramp available as well. It's definitely a nice park to check out with the family.
Great place to spend the day with friends or family. Poe Springs is an Alachua County Park, with no entry fees between October and April. There's a 1/2 mile (800m) walk from the parking lot to the spring itself along a beautiful boardwalk. There are several picnic tables, one pavilion and at least one grill
It is a well maintained Place in Alachua County of Florida with shades and trees around and the spring flows in between. The park takes a fee of $6 per car so make sure you go in a van of 7 people or more. You can bring your food and sun chairs to enjoy and relax in the midst of nature.
FAMILY TIME! I went to this Spring with my family and it's very nice and quaint. It's a little bit smaller but it definitely has cool water and it's refreshing. There were mostly families and it created a nice atmosphere for everyone.nnThere is a river that runs next to the Spring and the current is super strong and the water is pitch black. That part was a little bit scary when it took me and I opened my eyes up underwater, I was rushing back to the river shore. There is a swing there and you can jump into the water, I didn't do it but it looked fun. This is definitely a place to bring your family and have a great time! Let's Go!!!
When you swim in the green algal waters, thank a Florida politician for not standing up against big ag and development. A formerly beautiful spring.
