I’ve been going to this Planet Fitness location for almost two years now. Having worked in restaurants and healthcare, it’s hard not to notice exceptional customer service when I see it. Katelyn, who opens and works the front desk, is absolutely amazing. Not only is she engaging, helpful and always staying busy, but she knows members by their names. It’s refreshing to see. I have spoken to other members and her work ethic and overall friendliness does not go unnoticed. Thank you, Katelyn :) we appreciate you and look forward to seeing you when we come!

Interesting PF because it has and hasn't equipment that other PFs have or have not. Each treadmill has its own TV attached to it instead of flat screen TVs hanging from the ceiling. The exercise equipment is spaced out sufficiently. The weight benches and cable equipment are next to each other. They have a 360° & 30 Minutes workout area plus space for stretching. I noticed that staff members were cleaning the equipment. The locker 🛅 room was a little small but it was in decent shape. The massage chair 💺 was relaxing. The staff was friendly. WiFi available. Plenty of parking 🅿️ .nThe only issues I had were with some of the other members. I thought the membership at the PF in Portsmouth had an attitude! Some guy opened a locker, noticed it was in use, leaves the door open and complains at me for noticing. I didn't say a word to him. There were a noticable amount of weight slamming and a few people didn't wipe down equipment after they were done. I did meet one person who was considerate.nThe lack of air conditioning made the place uncomfortably warm at times.nIt is a good place to work out but it has a few issues beyond the staffs control.

Lots of equipment,staff usually nice,plenty parking. Showers and dressing rooms are lacking. Staff flicks lights while your showering,I've nearly fallen twice due to it. Insufficient safety rails, one dressing area,inadequate surface space in showrs/dressing area. Shower area is cold. Recent experience,two women walking through shower area with camera phones on. Not cool!

The staff is really nice and I have nothing against this gym per se. However, I did cancel my membership three days before it was supposed to renew, and I was told the charge might go through anyway but to contact them if that was the case and they would get it refunded. I called them a few days later because it did in fact deposit from my account, and I was told they could do nothing about it. You guys should all get on the same page with that. Not cool.

Great staff, fantastic deal. If you get the black card you get unexpected amenities like tanning, massage chairs, discounts on purchases.nThey have plenty of parking and equipment but unlike other gyms you can also sign up to use a personal trainer with no additional charge.nI'm very happy with my new membership.
