It's a beautiful park and playground but there is some maintenance needed. Mulch is way below the fill lines at the bottom of the equipment, there's a loose railing on the playground for the bigger children and a missing plastic window on the 2 to 5 year old playground equipment. It would be even better if those things were fixednnWent back today and everything that needed fixed still does and now the gate next to the main road has a broken latch
There is a broken latch on the gate that opens onto Jefferson Street. This also happens to be directly adjacent to the playground meant for children under the age of 5. This is unacceptable. My 3 year old son could have ran into a busy road if I were complacent enough to think that the fence surrounding the park was secure. The city of Perry will be responsible if someone's child is injured because of their negligence. There is a place on the playground equipment meant for children under 5 where a section is completely missing and there is a hole that a child can fall out of. The bathroom door frames are completely busted so the doors cannot be closed.nnAll in all, the park is very poorly maintained.
Clean park, lots of families enjoying it, bathrooms needed attention but other than that it was nice!
Love coming here. There's 2 different playgrounds for different ages, offers a bunch of room to run freely and the trees provide well shade. The benches are convenient to sit and watch the kids play. Place is always a friendly environment and the gated fence gives peace of mind. Also enjoy the picnic tables for eating and the restrooms are nice to know they are there. Definitely a great place to bring kids to run off energy and have fun while being able to relax.
Great for birthday parties kids love to go there just to play
