Palmetto Proper, Play Cafe & Gifts

I LOVE THIS PLACE . I had my son’s first birthday party here back in March and it was a blast . The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because it was EXTREMELY hot in there as if the a/c wasn’t working and the associate had my party time mixed up with someone else . I literally had to show her my email confirmation to prove my point .nnIt’s perfect for the smaller children 😊

We had our daughter's 3rd birthday party here. We did an instant party in the mermaid theme. It was such a great experience. The staff were incredible, super friendly, and great with all the kids and just overall flexible (even when we made mid-party adjustments). All the kids had so much fun and didn't want to leave. Love that there's even a little place for babies to play. Overall, recommend for playing, and highly recommend for a birthday!

My kids LOVED this place!! We had so much fun doing all of the activities. My 5 year old did not want to leave and wanted to stay until closing time. My 7 year old is a big kid and still had so much fun! The snacks and drinks were great prices and yummy!!

Took my 18 month old here earlier this summer. Awesome concept! A few thoughts...nn-I would have probably given our experience 3 stars, but upped it to 4 stars because the most frustrating thing about our visit wasn't Palmetto Proper's fault! There was a mom there who didn't look up from her computer for over an hour. Her two kids were everywhere and climbing on all the things they weren't supposed to. It was really sad as one of them, who said he was 2, was starved for attention. He wouldn't leave us alone and ended up jumping on my daughter's head. Not sure how common it is for the parents not to be paying attention here.nn-I maybe had too high of expectations based on other reviews and we may have just come at a bad time since it was right before closing, but the area/toys were a little more rundown and dirtier than I was expecting (I know it's hard with kids!). There's no place in the area that I know of that rivals this place, but it seems like there definitely could be in the future.nn-Overall, I will probably not bring my child back until she is at least 3 years old due to safety/parents not paying attention. I do think that it would be worth renting out for a party though!

A true hidden gem!!!!!!!!!! I say that because I had never heard of this place. Absolutely loved it and enjoyed my time there with my children. My 5 year old had an awesome time, she was having a blast, while my 8 month old baby was able to safely play in their baby area! We enjoyed the nachos and an almond joy frappe too. The lady who was working was so incredibly friendly and very efficient at getting us checked in and making our snacks/treats. I felt everything was very reasonably priced. This was truly a treat and a great way to spend a rainy day.
