This place has been my childhood. From fun events to great staff, and even the pool being really relaxing, This is the one hangout spot in Ossining. It's a shame the hours on Saturday are shorter compared to pre 2020 where the community center was open later.
First time to visit. Seems like a nice place
Nice area. Should have signs where the aqueduct weir (look it up). No one, even the cops had a clue what or where it was.
The Joseph Caputo Community Center houses the Acquatic Center, the GYM, the Senior Center, and the Youth After School and Summer Programs.nnThe Acquatic Center offers swimming classes, acquatic exercises, and more for minimal fees to Ossining Residents.nnThe Ossining Recreation & Parks Department Offices are also housed here.nnThe Srs. Program runs daily from 8:00 hr. to 15:00 hr. except on holidays. The program serves hot & cold meals. Takes them food shopping on Thursdays after lunch and the Srs. can play Bingo.nnThe Sr. Program also offers free Chair Yoga sponsored by Westchester County Sr. Program.nnI volunteer to run a knitting club once a week.
Love it🤗. Especially the open swim during winter season. They also have so many activities for kids at a very low price and some activities are also completely free.
