Olney Manor Skate Park Reviews
My local skate park that has changed drastically over the past 10 years. Its now free and unsupervised. Since the pandemic has began kids whom have never used a skate park are coming to roam the park waiting for a collision, their parents completely unaware. Trash collection is inconsistent and the local park services have left us with just a recycling bin. This all being said the park is truly appreciated and gets used thoroughly. The lights stay on until 11pm unlike any park in Maryland.
California Parks has had a history of pouring shoddy Crete in the early 2000s, and this one (built in 2007) is no exception. The attentive and experienced skater will notice the uneven surface that, while it is great for innovation and adaptability, isn't reflective of the price tag of the typical public outdoor municipal park. The layout here is definitely above average for unattended city parks, but nothing to road trip for. A great option for locals, but nothing to write home about.
This is a great local park near Olney, MD that provides a good variety of sport activities like baseball, softball, skating. I was there for the annual Olney Days festivities where there was lots of vendors selling food and beer, band for music, and the very nice fireworks show to cap off the night. Highly recommend !!!
I just love that this exists! Little bit of rough concrete and slightly snug on some obstacles, but I thought it was great and the locals were so friendly. Can't believe how nice and supportive the people are/were! The 7-stair with a handrail got the best of me. The main bowl/pool is huge! I'm afraid of that thing lol! Yeah the park could use a little love, but again I'm just thankful it exists. I will be back!
Nice little skate park. We saw all ages and ability levels there. Masks would be generally suggested, but only a few kids were wearing them.
