Mebane Community Park Reviews
WHAT!! I didn't know about this park, I've been looking for a public soccer field where I could play soccer with my friends and finally found one, lovely place to play soccer, walk, run, exercise, loved it. Favorite place!!
Very nice park! Our kids enjoyed the splash pad and playground. The dog park had some shaded benches, a few toys, etc. Looking forward to coming back again!
I would not choose this park for playground play, as there are bigger playgrounds elsewhere that are much less crowded. It seems most folks come here for sports. Particularly soccer. We do not, but it appears the fields are very nice and kept up. There is a nice walking track and a decent workout/training area. We come here because it is a decent place to rollerskate. The walking track is new enough that the pavement is smooth enough to skate nicely. However, I mentioned below in my playground review, that mulch becomes a tripping hazard. The same is an issue on the sidewalks/track. Ofcourse an issue when skating. But also for joggers, bikes, strollers etc. When there are just random large pieces of mulch strewn along the sidewalks. Perhaps pinestraw or just simply soil for the small landscaped areas?nBack to the reason we visit- a decent place to skate- if we come when there's no one on the playground (RARE!) it is the perfect spot to teach little ones to skate as the playground is smooth and made of a spongy like material. So, if the kids or my old, less agile body hits the ground, no big booboos to worry about 😁
My son loves coming to this park. We come once or twice a week during the school year & more often throughout the summer. The splash pad is great & a good way to cool off on a hot summer day.nThe park is a decent size with two playgrounds; one for smaller kids and one for older kids. It can get very crowded on the weekends, especially thru out the summer.nThis park is extremely close to us and we have been coming here for the past two years since moving to this area.nThe only thing I wish they had were more shaded or covered areas for people to sit while their children play at the playground.
Great place to enjoy the fresh air. They have a splash pad and a really nice playset with climbing walls for kids. It looks like a great place to run RC trucks as well, with plenty of open space and some potential jumps. Also a great covered area to gather and eat food.nnLooks like they have a soccer field and some walking paths too but that's about all I know.
