Me Land Gaithersburg Reviews
My baby absolutely loved this place we are definitely coming here again because the ball pit is much bigger so they can actually roam around in it versus sliding down the side and then having to get right out I love the security knowing that my child cannot be taken out without anyone knowing not to say I'm not watching my child I just know that I feel more secure knowing that if something were to happen my child won't go missing also because if you don't have a child with you you're not permitted in. I also love that there's areas for adults to sit and be able to observe the children if not you can actually join in on the fun which made my child love this place even more because I was able to go around with him and there's so much for them to do I love each little area he loved pertaining to be a cashier because that's what Mom does so I really enjoyed watching him have a great day with his parents.
HUGE playground. They have baby, toddler, and older kids areas, imaginary play area, a lego area and a carousel. They have play food, play kitchen, play store, and little cars to ride around. Finally lots of space for parents. We came here when weather outside was bad - perfect place as alternative to outdoors. I’ve been to several and this is one of the biggest (if you don’t count kid’s discovery museums). One of the more expensive ones for entry, but the socks are cheap.
Had a party for my daughter there yesterday. The manager was extremely rude and the the was staff unmotivated &unfriendly. Asking for assistance &the party supplies felt like pulling teeth. One of my guest complained about the sign in sheet being thrown towards her. One of the staff members brought a child with them to work. That child somehow ended up in my party room, eating my food, disturbing my guest and remained with us the entire time and no one from the front desk came to claim her or check on her. I had no idea of which member she belonged to. It wasn’t until I saw her enter in and out of the office behind check In I then realized she was with the staff. One of my guest was attacked by a man that came specifically to fight him & threatened to come back with a gun. I was extremely disturbed and asked the manager to pull the footage of the woman that grabbed my guest before he was attacked by the man because I didn’t see what happened and I wanted both the women &man identified, especially if it was unprovoked. (SN My guest left shortly after the attack to not cause any disturbance, although I didn’t see the altercation I witnessed the man making threats along with several others) The manager responded that she learned “tactical training” & it was her that grabbed my guest in what he described as a women putting him in a chokehold from behind as he was walking & wrapping their legs around him before the assault. The manager claimed that she didn’t see what happened but was indeed involved and present. Another guest overheard the manager and the staff discuss calling the man to me land specifically to fight my guest. The ambush happened inside the establishment! My guest has additional evidence of the connection between the man who assaulted him and the manager and I hope he presses charges. I paid for a double booking which is not cheap. I am a professional & am extremely embarrassed and felt compelled to apologize to my guests for the trash behavior that was displayed by the establishment. As far as the back story regarding the fight, I’m not interested. I just know it happened and that is not behavior I would ever condone or promote. Whatever personal issue the manager specifically Shara Davis had with my guest, it should not have come into a place of business especially that catered to children. I was in the back room when I heard of an attack going on out front and rushed to look for my husband and child out of concern for their safety. I caught the tail end of the unidentified man making threats and the manager outside oddly directly traffic. None of the staff called the police but were apart of the setup. As I passed I heard a lighter skin chunky female that worked there say to another employee be careful girl they’re coming. I had no idea that they were referring to my sister and myself who was frantically looking for my child and husband (was doing a diaper change in the restroom). Now that I have additional content from my guest when he apologized for the incident the comment from the staff members makes sense. I am pissed and further infuriated to be dragged/ associated with hot mess drama. Despite the staff being rude initially I pressed forward with booking at that location because my child lovesssss that location. There is a me land in Frederick and we specifically drive to Gaithersburg because we prefer the location due to size. I am glad to know that the ghetto Gaithersburg store is not associated with the Frederick one and I will go there instead. I looked up information for corporate/ owner/ higher management to discuss my concerns with no avail. I draw the line when it comes to violence &children. A BBB review is next. Me land sneeds to get rid of the children posing as staff at the front desk and hire qualified professionals and more than one manager for accountability. The owner should track email exchanges and train the staff on proper customer relations. If the assault happened to me I surely would’ve lawyered up! CHECK THE CAMERAS! 9/30/23nnWhy hasn’t someone formally reached out to me?
Great indoor playground with large ball pit, toddler area, pretend town area and numerous platforming features. Several slides of varying slopes and frictions. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and regularly scan the play area to tidy up. Ample parking outside, ample seating inside. At-your-own-risk area to store bags and shoes has various size cubbies and many of them. Large foam block construction area, pin screen(see photos), and two odd arcade machines where your image gets projected on screen and you do jumping jacks to attack meteors and spaceships(?). A fun way to spend a rainy day or birthday.nnIf the website for the Gaithersburg location won’t load for you, change the web browser you’re using.
I did my baby’s 2nd birthday party there. While he enjoyed himself, it’s definitely wasn’t worth $400. There was zero staff engagement, music or anything. They don’t help with anything and for that amount of money, only provide drinks for the kids. Your guest have to buy their drinks which is ridiculous at that cost. I’d suggest to just pay general admission for your kid and celebrate elsewhere.
