This YMCA is a great place for exercise and activities. I mostly used the weight room, basketball gym, and Coach the kids soccer team here. The weight room has plenty of room with multiple power racks with benches to go in them. It has its own dedicated room for dumbbells and Smith machine in another section. All the machine weights are in a separate room and the cardio machines like treadmills, bikes and stairs stepper are in separate rooms as well. During the week, there's a daycare to watch the kids while parents work out.nnThe soccer program is set up pretty good with lots of staff helping out and the coaches and players from the local highschool to help train. The program gets better each year by taking feedback from the parents.
The Laurens YMCA needs better leadership. Brian, get it together. Haley has no idea what she is doing. Here it is the day soccer games are to start and the parents are just finding out. Multiple parents as well as the coach inquired about the games starting, and we were given different answers by different people. Now today we get a text from Haley stating that games start today. This is unacceptable and very unprofessional. Laurens County kids deserve better. We pay $90 for our kid to play soccer, and this is the most unorganized I have ever witnessed. Fire Haley, and step down, Brian. I know if I didn't do my job, I'd be shown the door. Perhaps you should experience the same. Next year, we will seek sports in another county.

I’ve tried to give them several chances, nothing wrong with the facility or staff but the weekend hours are extremely limiting but this seems to be the case for all YMCA. Not everyone works 8-5 M-F.
Great atmosphere! They have an awesome running track! A lot of people love this place. The bathrooms are always clean, so the are obviously awesome! They have a lot of machines: biking machines, rowing machines, treadmills, etc. They also have a clean and well made basketball court. The people who work here are also friendly! Overall, it is a great place, and I highly recommend it to families!
