This is a great park. It offers so much. The scenic pond has fish. The clearly marked off 1/2 mile and mile trails. 3 playgrounds. Ball fields and basketball courts. The Pavillion is a nice size. I'm not sure if you need to reserve it. I have never used the restrooms, so I don't know if they are clean.
The statue used to sit in Providence Rhode Island Before it was taken down ....but the town of Smithfield Rhode Island is put it up At the veterans park.

I frequent this park as it is located near my preferred grocery store. I feel safe walking here alone and the park is always maintained beautifully. Be aware this is not a dog friendly park so keep your fur babies at home.
Beautiful and nice place to walk. People there are friendly and considerate. Also the military hardware is cool, especially the M60-A3 tank. It is well kept with plenty of parking too.
I love this little park! A great place for a stroll and, as is typical of Rhode Island, there are some wonderful military memorials -- including a badass howitzer and 1960s battle tank. The pond has a nice bridge and walking path.
