Excellent find for a walk with the wife and pup today. The walking trail runs behind the ball diamonds in the woods. Plenty of shade for those hot NC days. The trail is more than wide enough and well kept. Almost a mile around and really easy walking. After a decent rain however, it might be a little sloppy.
I have to be honest. I do not visit this facility to watch a sporting event. The place is huge. It has a nice paved parking lot with a walking trail that runs behind it. It is a fantastic place to walk. There seems to be quite a few people that think the same way I do. While here I also check out the many birds in the area.
The fields were very well kept, and we had a lot of rain.
The facility is nice but not great. The fields we're not maintained between games. (unforgiveable). Interaction with one of person claiming to represent the facility was was bad. He was VERY arrogant and aggressive. He was a terrible ambassador for the field and organizations the use the facility. This attitude usually starts at the top and for that reason I rate it at 1 star. Plus the restrooms were clean at the morning and not maintained during the day.
Facilities both field and restrooms are kept in order. The concession options are standard. Quick food, candies, water and gatorade. A few local options don't offer much in the way of clean eating, but hey we're here to watch little dudes play baseball, not to eat Michelin rated meals. Attentive staff.
