It's a beautiful place! I just wanted to sit and relax and enjoy the scenery. You can also go and play on the playground with the kids. I haven't been there in a while but I will return again soon.
Herman Park in Goldsboro, N. C. Is a wonderful place for a family to visit. Such great memories are made here. My favorite tree I always climbed is still there. I know my name is somewhere on it, hopefully.😄 Plenty of picnic tables and shelters, rose garden, tennis courts, wonderful new play area for young children and older adults. No more of the big slides, no more merry go rounds. All gone. More modern now. Make new memories.
It was nice. 90 degrees in the shade felt like 80. The playground could use a renovation with some updated equipment. Train ride was fun, and the sidewalk games were fun. Stayed awhile for the band that was practicing; they were amazing. Staff were friendly. It'd be cool if they included a splash pad on the hotter days. Only disappointment was the vulgar language written on the picnic tables.
Stopped here for lunch on our way to Atlantic Beach! Good park to eat and stretch your legs not too far from the highway!
Fantastic park!! There were several different jungle gyms, slides, swing sets and zip lines for the kids and a gazebo nearby so parties would be a pretty cool idea for sure. There are walkways and trails throughout the park as well as a tennis court. Parking is free and there are trash cans put up all over so it's really clean. It's dog friendly as long as you have them on a leash and there are doggy bags available should you need them. I'm not sure if it's there all the time but when we went there was an ice cream truck too so that made for a great ending to our park adventure. We'll definitely be back again soon!!
