Berm Park is a small bike park inside the bigger Chestnut Mountain Nature Park. It is a 4 mile slight uphill climb to get to Berm Park. The trails are all well maintained. Something for everyone although a lot of the trails were a little above my riding ability. Bear Country Trail is a downhill course and the only way back to the Nature Park entrance. Fun if you are up for it but we ended up walking most of it back. Worth checking out and would recommend.

Berm Park, inside of Chestnut Mountain park is such a gem for this area! While I regularly ride Pisgah and DuPont, it’s a nice change to come up here and ride some more bike specific things. It’s got some challenging spots for some beginners but the reward is worth it!

We hiked the Berm Park trail and it was such a fun hike! Great parking and the trail wasn’t busy at all. Well maintained and good footing.

Amazing place! The climb is worth it! Just beautiful skillful trail building here. Thanks Seth and Canton! That’s me with the flowery shirt and big Trek Fuel EX. Great time was had by all!
Andrea Harding review for Berm Park MTB Trails
I tried this park while visiting the area to mountain bike at DuPont. I’ve ridden lots of downhills and bike parks and flow trails around the country, this is a good place to develop downhill skills. I would call it a downhill park rather than a berm park. The berm part seems to be a work in progress. A few observations: 1) there is as much climbing as there is downhill, since you ride up the mountain on the same trails you go down. 2) The main warm up you get is from climbing to the top. A repetitive warm up section would be a great addition, where you climb a short distance, then go down an easy trail to warm up, do that a few times before hitting the harder stuff, 3) I found the green and green-blue trails to be rather steep for that rating. They were also off-camber, which makes me a little uncomfortable, especially when I’m not adequately warmed up. I didn’t try the blue or higher trails since I didn’t want to climb all the way to the top again on the downhill trails. Overall a good park.
