Had a great time. I did find the area where the pirate ships are a little littered. The views from the lighthouse and the boardwalk are amazing.nnMy daughter had a blast in the water park area.nnThe food was not expensive and the alcapurrias were really good.nnDefinitely an affordable place for a family fun day especially if you have small children.
Fantastic view from the top of the lighthouse! There's not much to do /see inside the lighthouse, but the outdoor balcony, cafe, the cafeteria (food court), wooden pirate ships, and the children's play areas will keep you busy and entertained! We ate the chicken empanadas from the covered canteen and brought a few to take home! The cost for entry is $12 for adults, and parking is $3.50 per vehicle. It is okay to continue parking in the lot while we swim at the beach, which is accessible to the public from an area of parking. The beach is an open area and has a few coconut/ native trees- a great shade to relax on the beach!
Every time we visit PR we come to the lighthouse. Beautiful views, splash area for kids, the adult area was closed this day. Still great spot for photos and a mini aquarium.
Not worth it, not even close. Outdated, run down, obvious deferred maintenance. It's like they built this in the early 90s and just left it as is, no updates, no maintenance.nnThe aquarium is more like some larger fish tanks, the indoor pirate cave was leaking from the rain. The water park area was really no better than many public splash pads. The pirate ships and African guys were more like outdated displays than anything for kids to interact with. Can't go in lighthouse and lighthouse museum was very small and underwhelming.nnI don't often leave poor reviews, but sorry to say this place deserves it in its current state.nn** Edit per business reply - I've been to many, many parks, museums, educational centers, themed attractions. Unfortunately for you, my review is a very educated review from a seasoned traveler with children.
It's a nice place but it looks like it's not taken care of the way it once was. It's a little bit pricey for the few things they have but as long as the kids have fun then I guess that's what matters. It's a good place to visit on a Monday or Tuesday because it's less packed.
