West Virginia State Wildlife Center Reviews
Decided to take a small road trip for our Sunday drive this week. Ended up choosing to come here, and it was a nice time. Little bit bummed we missed the river otters (their exhibit closes labor day), but enjoyed the animals that were there. We enjoyed watching the wolves especially. Trail is easy to walk & there is another hiking trail off of the trail through the animals. Super affordable, and the man at the entrance window was very informative. Ladies in the gift shop were very attentive and friendly as well. Weather shelters throughout, and restrooms available as well. Great for kids!
Had a great day with my daughter and her friend. Was a little disappointed that they didn't have an otter. One of the reasons we came. It is my daughter's favorite animal and we wanted to see one. But still had a good time. Nice little walk around the park.
A great place to get educated while you get some exercise. Lots of cool animals to learn about. There were nice picnic areas. The bathroom facilities were rustic but very clean. The gift shop staff were very helpful, and the pepperoni rolls were delicious.
Nice little blacktop trail through the woods to see some of the animals that roam in our state. We took our 6 yr old grandson & he loved it. Leave yourself 2 hours if you want to go slow. We got through in less than an hour because they were closing but we still managed to stop & see each animal & take some pics. Don't forget to try one of the pepperoni rolls in the gift shop! Yum!
Wonderful place. Very informative staff and a lovely facility. Great snack bar. Got Peanut Butter fudge and 4 pepperoni rolls. They were AMAZING!!! Cute little gift shop. Cool turtle on display. Loved it here.
