As a kid I was a member of the YMCA. I remember as a kid I had a lot of fun while participating in numerous summer activities. Basketball , swimming . Etc. I have family members who are active members of the YMCA . My nephew go there all the time after school and during the summer break. I can truly say the Y is still the YMCA.
I have never been inside a YMCA before and was impressed with the front reception area and lobby when I first walked in. There was a door greeter than talked to my child and tried to keep him occupied with conversation some. There was a lady being helped infront of me and a gentleman came up not long after I had been there to ask if he could assist me. He helped me with the information I requested and also gave me a form to fill out to see if I would qualify for a scholarship.nnThe only disappointment I felt was when he told me the prices and fees for classes and stuff. Being a member would be way too expensive for me.nnI will update with pictures if/ when we go back to actually be able to register for the learning swim classes.nnIf the price wasn't ao mich I would definitely like to become a Ymember!
Super accommodating and friendly staff! They make being here feel like a small get together of friends, this includes class experiences as well as other activities for physical and spiritual improvement.nThey have upgraded exercise equipment in their weight room, countless fully attended fitness classes, pickle ball, CrossFit, a big pool, and child care.
First time visiting in a couple of years they have done a lot of remodeling. Floor is very slippery because they keep it so cold in there. Workout machines are all new 👍gym employees are very nice, wish i could say the same for the members.
This YMCA is absolutely amazing! They genuinely care about each person that walks through their doors. Kristen the wellness director is truly fantastic. There is such a positive spirit around every corner in this YMCA!
