Merli Sarnoski Park has a lot to offer! There are multiple trails used for hiking, running, biking, and dogwalking. Please pick up after yourself, though, if traveling with dogs... it seems like a lot of people have forgotten that common courtesy. There is swimming available on the beach, but we've heard hit-or-miss reviews about that. Overall, it is a nice area to go exploring.
Another hidden gem of the area. The park offers a few hiking trails of differing levels of difficulty, a beautiful little lake and tons of picnic options. One of my favorite memories of this park was from a couple years ago in the fall. There was an elderly couple sitting at a picnic table near the lake, the gentleman was playing bagpipes while what I assume was his wife, sat there quietly listening. As I hiked the trail around the lake, the sound of bagpipes echoed through the woods... It was pretty cool.
I LoVe this place, so calming and relaxing.
Very cute little public beach and fishing hole that’s in a bit of disrepair. Nice for a little getaway day with the family.
I was actually pretty disappointed with this park. Compared to the other Lackawanna county parks it's pretty run down and the beach was really gross.
