The ground for the playground is mulch so I recommend not bringing your kids in Crocs if you come to this park! They do have a little sand pit. Great park overall! One little section for little kids and one section for bigger kids.
This is a great park. Swings, slides, a giant litter... I mean sand box, a place for bands to play, covered picnic areas, baseball fields, basketball courts, skate park, a hot dog stand, paths for walking, a dog park, bathrooms and much more.
Very well taken care of community park with a playground, ball fields, tennis court, etc. If you live in or around Kutztown and you have children, this is a great park to bring them to. They even have a skateboard area for those wanting to skateboard. Miss the skating rink of years ago though.
Very clean spacious park. My grandson loved it. He gives it 2 thumbs up. We'll definitely be back as the weather permits in the future. 
We were celebrating the marriage of my niece. They met at Kutztown University and are staying in the area. Lovely park safe for the young children to play. It was an all day Pennsylvania Dutch Celebration. Lots of food and family and friends to wish them well.
