Hickory Park

The summer of 2018, my family and I went to the community pool here quite often. It was the highlight of the summer. It was clean and friendly, not to mention, local. We came many days, and I loved it there. After being in the pool all day long, I was hungry, and conveniently, the Hickory Park Restaurant was just a walk away from the pool. The food there was soooo good! We ate there every night after being in the pool! We unfortunately didn’t return until 2020 right before the pandemic in early march, but little did we know that was our last time there, and we were some of the last people to ever eat there, because they would shutter from the pandemic, to be permanently closed, to later be demolished. It is a HUGE community loss to lose this restaurant. Hickory Park will always be nice and beautiful, but this diner being gone is such a shame. Loved the food, loved the location, and the owners were so nice. Perfect place to eat after the pool

Hickory park is an awesome place to go with the kids to play on the nice, clean playground, or to have a party or picnic at the very, very clean pavilion. There is so much beauty to look at. Lots of gorgeous green grass. There's a stream with awesome benches spaced out so you can fish. It's a quite place to go alone or with your partner to have lunch or lay on a blanket.

Love this park..made use of the swimming pool over the summer. Clean and lifeguard on duty was very nice. The grandkids had a great time. Great Pavillion area for picnic lunch...highly Recommended

Horrible, unsafe, and dirty. My family had high hopes for this pool but have been totally disappointed. Every time we’ve gone the pool is dirty and have never seen anyone skimming it. The lifeguards are worthless as they do nothing but yell at the kids and give them timeouts so they don’t have to watch them. They are rude and spend their time looking at their phones instead of watching swimmers. The people that run it are a bureaucratic nightmare that cannot make a decision for themselves and have to wait until some monthly committee meeting to make even the simplest decisions. I’ll never be back and I’d advise the same for anyone else.
