I love the area the park is in a great place. I like the big pavilion and they do have grills for public use. The park itself could be cleaner but that's the public who trashes it.
Don't want to see it be demolishednIt would be nice to see it restored and put in the Historical registry like they do on the West sidenThere's nothing on this side of town for young kids to do if it was restored the young kids today would have somewhere to swim like we did when we where young.
It's a park with some character.. The restrooms were locked middle of summer.
Nice benches and gazebo on one side. A skate park, a basketball court, a lot of open field space, a playground with a variety of fun activities for kids, a free sprinkler park, a pavilion with tables, a skate park, a basketball court, and an abandoned swimming pool are all located farther down (that of course we never entered since its boarded up
A nice place to go and sit back and relax....... Sometimes you even see a guy walking his cat.
